Welcome Back to the Basics! With Father’s Day coming up this weekend, we wanted to acknowledge the reality that exists on the other side of celebration-grief. We’re talking about the club that nobody wants to be a part of: The Dead Dads Club. Back to the Basics is a casual, judgment-free zone for honest conversations, and we’re really glad you’re here! Please remember that grief looks different...

It's harder to stay than to leave, especially in those times. But I agree, since I can't go full, I stay, at home for now 😢
We hear you, friend. We know that staying isn't always easy, and we believe you deserve support to make it through the heaviest days. We hope you know how glad we are that you're here, and if you ever need to process what you're feeling, you can text TWLOHA to 741741 any time you need. 💙
Honestly, this is great news, but I doubt this will be free
Thank you.
Thankfully, my life is important to me. If I had to rely on others to know my importance, it wouldn't exist.
Thank you so much
Spectacular ❤😊
The grandparent thing is so true!! I can't help but be jealous and wonder why other people my age still have grandparents and I don't even get to have both parents anymore. Lovely episode ladies, thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you for watching! We hope it could be a reminder that you're not alone in this. 💙
Thank you for making this
🧡
I'm absolutely loving these videos in the series ❤ keep up the amazing work 😊
🧡
Chronic depression (dysthymia) is very challenging. I hang onto hope, practice gratitude and 'improve moments' in order to keep going - persist.
I have 'triple' depression: dysthymia, major depressive episodes & seasonal affective disorder. Failed suicide attempt. Great psychiatrist with meds fine-tuned. In remission since Dec 2019.
We're so glad you're here, friend. We know that healing and caring for ourselves isn't always easy, and we're proud of you for all the ways you keep showing up for yourself.
Well done mate. I dont have OCD myself but i had a friend who suffered greatly with it. He was such a lovely guy but he struggled with everyday tasks all day long every day. He was worth the effort too ❤
Happy Mental Health Month🎈
Happy Mental Health Month!
Happy Mental Health month to you too! 🧡
I have Chronic Fatigue and am recently trying to get back into exercise after having to take a break due to illness and this was super encouraging
We hear you, friend! Know that you are not alone. 🧡
This was amazing ❤
🧡
Thank you so much for this. I've been struggling since I was 13 and I'm now 24. It's definitely hard. I hope I can get to the place where I can completely stop. It's so nice to hear others experiences ❤
We hear you, friend! Please know that you deserve to get the help and support that you need so that you can experience better days and healing. Our FIND HELP tool can show you local mental health resources and we encourage you to check it out: twloha.com/find-help/. 🧡
I love this series ❤
💙💙 Thanks for watching!
I’m glad you are here ❤ thank you.
I started this behavior at 14 but I’m 36 now and still struggle with it and it’s hard to find resources for adults who self harm
We hear you, friend. There is no timeline on healing and there is no shame in your journey. If you ever need help searching for resources, you can search by zip code at twloha.com/find-help. We also recommend SIRA for self-injury support groups: www.thesira.org/
Do more of these I know they must take time but I can see this been a good series
More videos to come, friend! Thank you for your feedback! 🧡
“It’s not your fault” was such a powerful thing to hear. So many of us who face this struggle bear so much shame and guilt. Thank you for your work to de-stigmatize self injury and turn the conversation toward addressing the cause rather than the result. Y’all are doing incredibly important work ❤
We hear you, friend! Thank you for sharing this with us. 🧡
As a parent struggling to understand and help my struggling teen, thank you for your open and honest dialogue! Beautifully spoken from the heart, and bringing me tears of hope!
We hear you, friend! Know that you are not alone and if you ever need help finding resources for yourself or your teen, we are here for you. 🧡
I just found this video and I love it so much, I was actually part of the film as an extra and never got around to watching it, I'm glad I did
I would add: get your iron levels and hormones checked if you start to notice links between your cycle and your mental health symptoms 🫶🏼
Thank you. I needed that.
Christina Semey was my P.E teacher in 2008. She left a long lasting effect and memory on my life. Grateful for her! ❤
❤
This was the message I needed as a child and although I never got it, I am grateful for it now. I'm not crying, you're crying. Thank you.
💙💙💙
God bless you, Wyndham. Love from Ohio.

Been supporting WSPD through Twloha for quite some years now and as much as I am very honored to be able to participate in this good cause, I have yet to critique this year's phrase a little bit: "The world is not better without you" is nicely in line with the positive wording style e.g. "not _better_" instead of for example using the word "worse", yet it's, well not exactly sure if that's the right term, bad style, since one should try to avoid simple negation. The reason for this is that our brains intuitively skip the "not" part, especially prominent in children. Eg. telling a young child which is approaching a street to not go closer is a lot less effective than telling the child to stop. In an analog fashion I honestly I perceived this year's phrase as odd and unintuitively rolling of the tongue with me actually wondering for a short moment what I said. Though it certainly may just be like that because I am not a native speaker. On another note I also personally think that the phrases in the past had been more poetic and beautiful while being short and smart. This year's phrase feels a bit straight forward with its message. Either way, I am very very excited to get this year's WSPD sweatshirt! <3
❤❤❤❤❤
This video touched my heart. I have nothing but empathy for those who are struggling to recover, for those who are still using it because they think that's the only way, and for those who are sober. 🫶
If you have thoughts about what drugs are or have high potency of fentanyl, please report to FDA.
se les quiere mucho sigan adelante
Fentanyl is not a synthetic it’s the same thing they use in hospital but in pill form which is more lethal
One of the big problems is they have been lying about drugs for so long nobody believes any of the narratives.
Thank you so so so much😢😢😢😢😢

Do any of the professionals associated with the organizations, have either an opinion or have any thoughts on emotional support animals?
Hi there. Although we cannot offer a professional opinion on emotional support animals, there is a blog on our site with firsthand experience that you can read here: twloha.com/blog/hope-a-four-legged-word/.
I needed this today
We are so glad you saw this, Devon! 🧡
Yes I am. In fact, I just got done telling my parents itd be easier to just forget about me. I've put them through enough pain and worry with my mistakes these past few years. I need 1k to get my car out of impound, I have no idea if I'm approved yet for food stamps, no home, no friends to ask for help, and I'm probably looking at 50 days jail time coming up. I just, for some reason, don't even have the balls to kill myself.
We're so sorry to hear that you're in such a difficult situation, Andre. Please know that we see you and we truly believe you are not a burden. Your mistakes, the heaviness you carry, your experiences - none of it has to define you. We encourage you to check out our FIND HELP Tool to see free + low-cost resources in your area, plus our Treatment & Recovery Scholarship: twloha.com/find-help. If you need support, you are always welcome to reach out to us at info@twloha.com. You matter, friend. Your story still has so much possibility in the chapters ahead and we hope you'll continue to write it.
thankful ❤
Your video was so well-researched! Speaking of research, have you ever heard of astral travel? I wrote an e-book on it that you might like.
I recently have come across a very interesting phrase, "intergenerational trauma." That is to say, trauma that is or was inflicted in previous generations continues to inflict future or continued generations. This can or could pertain to mental health, and or physical conditions (I write "physical conditions," tentatively. I understand there have been studies that connect mental health to biological, generational factors).
